TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

1.     Purpose of Kits

These kits are designed to assist the wearer in LIMITING AND/OR REDUCING RISK OF INJURY in the event of exposure to hazardous or flammable elements.

THESE KITS WILL NOT PREVENT INJURY OR DEATH IN EVENT OF EXPOSURE TO HAZARDOUS ELEMENTS INCLUDING FIRE, PARTICULARLY IN THE EVENT OF EXTENDED EXPOSURE.

2.     Flame and Acid Fabric

The Flame and Acid Fabric used in these kits is not designed for prolonged exposure to hazardous elements, including fire. Prolonged exposure (more than 10 seconds) to fire or acid will cause the fabric to catch fire or burn through.

Flame and acid fabric is designed to DELAY COMBUSTION enabling wearer to move to safety while limiting injury in short-term exposure to live flame or hazardous elements. This fabric is NOT DESIGNED TO PREVENT IGNITING ENTIRELY AND AS SUCH IS NOT FIREPROOF.

3.     Re-use of garments

Garments are re-usable provided they have not been exposed to flame or hazardous elements. If the fabric is exposed to direct flame for a period longer than 3 seconds, the items are considered “used” should be discarded.

4.     Washing of Garments and Durability

Ensure washing instructions are followed. Items can be washed 20 times after which  the protective coating applied to the cloth may be compromised and will not protect the wearer from hazardous flames.

5.     Expiration

If unused, the fabric and its protective coating carries an expiry date of 36 months. For optimum protection during an exposure, it is recommended that  the shirt and cargo be replaced every 30 months. There is a date of manufacture inside the shirt and cargo.
